Chunky Knit Sweater

We knit this sweater from merino wool that is only minimally dyed, so it keeps its natural cream color and a softness that coarser wool usually does not have. The knit is deliberately large and visible, the shoulders dropped so the sweater sits loosely on the body without any bust shaping. It is worn alone on cooler fall days, or as a layer under a coat with just the hem and cuffs showing. We buy the yarn from European flocks and knit it in a small Lithuanian workshop that only makes this type of chunky knit.
